In today’s society, driving safety and maintenance costs are of increasing concern. Especially in the rainy season and when driving in water, the vehicle’s electrical system faces a severe test. For this reason, we have conducted a waterproof quality sample test on the 24V200Ah lithium batteries that are scheduled to leave the factory, in order to verify their safety and functionality in extreme environments.
Test Process
The test was carried out in a 1.2-metre-deep container. After the container was filled with water, we put the 24V200AH lithium battery of our company’s heavy-duty trucks into it to carry out the deep-water immersion test, which lasted for 30 minutes. In order to monitor the working status of the battery in real time, we connected two lights on the battery.
Test Result
After 30 minutes of deep water immersion test, we found that the two lamps can still light up normally, the discharge function of the lithium battery is not affected, and the overall condition of the battery remains good. This test simulated extreme water exposure to assess the safety and functionality of the battery in the event of water intrusion. The results were satisfactory, as the QZ Li-ion battery maintained its normal working condition even after deep-water immersion, discharged normally and was in good condition.
